Sometimes, you want your website to be more than just a few pages with information about your business and the people in it.  Sometimes, you want your website to actually do something for you.  This section of our website deals with extensions that "do" things.

File Download Manager - Remository

If you want to make files available to clients/visitors, then Remository may be a good way to do it, as it provides management, access control and RSS feeds so that people can even get automatic notification of when new files are available.

You can find our Remository demo under the "Functional Tools" menu.

Note: Remository generally has to be tweaked to "fit" into a given client site - colour changes, removal of underlines and such.  Bear in mind that when implemented, Remository will blend very well with your business website.

Calendars and Schedules - JEvents

JEvents is a website extension that allows you to provide online calendars, scheduling and management to your website visitors.  With JEvents, you can have as many calendars and categories as you wish, allowing a very exact level of control for all the events that you may wish to publish on your site. Project Management Online - ProjectFork

ProjectFork allows you to create projects and manage them from a single website location.  For each project, you can create and link user groups, users, notes, tasks, deadlines and milestones to these projects.  Additionally, each project has its own message board for Q&A type discussion and a calendar listing all task deadlines. Also, each project has its own file management facility, so you can upload and download files related to a given project.

Tasks can be part of a milestone on the project and each task or milestone (or both!) can have a deadline.  Tasks can be assigned to people on the project and ProjectFork will automatically email them when they have a new task assigned to them.  All tasks and milestones can be updated to reflect their progress (as a percentage) as well as having notes related to each task, so that you have a complete history of everything done on every project you have running.

Its not a small extension and it isn't quick to set up, but if you manage projects involving more than 2 people, it can be invaluable to your business.

Live Chat can have your own logos and custom online/offline messages, custom intro text and anything else you'd like done.

Live chat works by using a "regular chat client" - like MSN, AIM or similar product. We recommend using a GTalk account (Google) and here's why:

• its free and Google do not sell your details to anyone, ever. They may advertise to you, but they won't sell your information
• it will give you a free web-based backup email account that we always recommend just in case your computer dies unexpectedly
• GMail can serve as online storage, due to Google's generous mail storage allowances - just email files to you GMail account and access them from any web browser!
